WRITING PERSONAL STORIES
Everyone has personal stories to tell. Sally will show you an easy, fun way to make your stories come alive. The first session features a strategy for mining your memory for details. Before writing you will draw or map your mental pictures, making it easier to write with specific detail and rich imagery. The second session will be a writing workshop format, with participants sharing what they’ve written as well as giving and receiving feedback. If you’ve been thinking about writing your life story, this will help you get started.
INSTRUCTOR: SALLY RIEWALD, Ph.D., taught writing to adult learners at the Evergreen State College/Tacoma Campus. She successfully helped students to build confidence and overcome the fear of writing.
