EX-HACIENDA JARAL DE BERRIO EXCURSION
This is one of the most impressive of the ancient haciendas in all of Mexico; it is an outstanding, incredibly large, and beautiful baroque hacienda . The origins of it go back to the 16th. century. In 1890 Juan Isidro Moncada y Berrio inherited what had been the marquis´s mansion and converted it into the house, that with its faint traces of color, is the building which; you can now see in its ruinous splendor. It is possibly the most important hacienda of Colonial time.
Photographically speaking, the architectural detail provides a variety of shooting possibilities and the changing light allows the photographer to capture different aspects and moods. This is a site that can be visited and revisited for a wide range of results.
